Emma “Celina” Hamilton
Emma “Celina” Hamilton, 98, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at her home.
Mrs. Hamilton was born in 1917, the daughter of the late Charles B. and Artie V. Keeler. She was a homemaker and a member of Cedar Creek Presbyterian Church in Middletown, Virginia. Celina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be forever remembered for love of cooking, family and her faith. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She married Charles Hamilton on June 25, 1955, in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Her first husband, Paul Dovel Kenney, preceded her in death.
Surviving with her husband is her daughter, Paulette Virginia Kenney of Winchester; son, Charles Bill Hamilton and his wife, Debbie, of Stephens City; 3 grandchildren; Jeremy Hamilton and wife Crystal, Travis Hamilton and his wife Raelyn and Kassi Scruggs and her husband Phillip; 7 great grandchildren; Kylynn, Brady, Sydney, Emma, Morgan, Easton and Rhett as well as her sister, Mildred Lucy Luttrell of Stephens City.
One sister, Thelma Virginia Boyd and one brother, Norman Briscoe Keeler, preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, from 4:00-6:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Reverend Dr. Rose Wayland officiating. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Stephens City, Virginia.
