Louise Clevenger passed away peacefully at Blue Ridge Hospice on January 20, 2017. She was 92 years old.
Louise was born on December 5, 1924 in Opequon, VA, the daughter of the late Arthur C. and Stella A. Sager. A 1942 graduate of the Stephens City High School, she was a homemaker and retired as a food service worker from Stonewall Elementary School. She was a lifelong member of Kernstown United Methodist Church.
She married Kenneth M. Clevenger on October 18, 1948 in Winchester. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother William (Nancy) Sager, and daughter Deborah (Charles) Merritt. She is survived by her grandson, Kenneth R. Merritt of Chicago, IL.
A graveside service for family and close friends will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 at Mt. Hebron Cemetery at 11:00 a.m with Pastor Aaron Fitch officiating.
