Emil D. Albright

Emil Dale Albright, 83, of Boyce, VA died Friday, December 31, 2010 at his residence.

Mr. Albright was born in 1927 in Shenandoah County, VA, the son of the late Jacob C. and Hannah S. Albright.

He retired from Frederick County Schools in 1982 and other past employments included Crider & Shockey’s, Swimley’s Furniture Store and Midwestco Filter Media. He was a member of Boyce Baptist Church.

He married Nancy Lee Cather Albright on August 3, 1951 in Frederick County, VA.

Surviving with his wife are his daughters, Patsy A. Elsea and her husband Dennis and Dale L. Coumes and her husband Jim, both of Bluemont, VA; and Gale A. Snider of Winchester, VA; and son Charles W. “Billy” Albright and his wife Cathy of Boyce, VA. And grandchildren Eric Wright, Kenneth Wright, Carrie McCorkle, Clint Elsea, Will Albright and T.C. Albright; four great grandchildren; two brothers Ernest Albright of Frederick, MD and Dayton Albright of Jefferson, MD; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by six brothers, Harry, Luther, Albert, Wendell, Orvil and Howard Albright, and five sisters, Ruby Whetzel, Laura Smith, Mazie Whetzel, Ressie Baker, and Bonnie Sours.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, Frederick County, VA with Rev. Ben Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Eric Wright, Kenneth Wright, Clint Elsea, Dennis Connor, Jr., John Rinker, and Larry Wilbur.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
