Elwood Lee White

Elwood Lee White, 75, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Thursday, June 23, 2011, in his home.

Mr. White was born in 1935, in Bealeton, Virginia, the son of the late Clarence Lee and Lela Doris White. He was the owner and operator of Tri-Fab, Inc. retiring in 2003.

He married Betty Lou Timbrook on October 29, 1955, in Greenwich, Virginia. She preceded him in death on June 11, 2008.

Surviving is one daughter, Karen Leigh Taylor and her husband Mark of Benson, Maine; sons, Donald Lee White and his wife, Susan Joyce of Purcellville, Virginia, Daniel Owen White and his wife, Patrizia Ofelia Soldano of Round Hill, Virginia; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one brother, William White and his wife, Kaki of Manassas, Virginia.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, at Greenwich Presbyterian Church, 15305 Vint Hill Road, Nokesville, VA 20181, with Reverend Don Meeks officiating. Graveside service will be on Tuesday, 10:30 AM in Greenwich Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, 1600 Amherst Street, Winchester, VA 22601.

Though Elwood has left us to go home to the Lord and his sweetheart Betty he will always be forever here in my memory. Death may take away what we see and hear but it cannot take away our memories of what we have seen and heard. Miss him I will indeed but forget him never I will.
