Elsie Mae Mayhew Sirk, 97, of Winchester, Virginia, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal, Virginia.
Mrs. Sirk was born in 1913, in Augusta, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Edward and Katherine Mayhew. She was a homemaker where she loved to sew, bake and cook. She worked in production with Zeropak retiring with over 20 years of service. Mrs. Sirk was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Robert William Sirk, preceded her in death in 1982.
Surviving are her sons, Paul Sirk and Robert Sirk both of Winchester, Virginia, Pierre Sirk of Silver Springs, Florida; daughters, Alice Milburn and Deborah Walker both of Winchester, Virginia; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
One son, Richard Sirk, 5 brothers and 4 sisters, preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Reverend Jason B. Duley officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
