Ellen Mae Hart, 80, of Winchester, VA, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.

Ellen was born in Winchester, VA, the daughter of the late Stuart and Frances Hulver. She retired in 2013 in rental property maintenance for several realtors in the area. Ellen enjoyed cooking and made the best applesauce cake you’ve ever tasted. She also enjoyed crocheting and would make and donate baby hats and blankets to hospitals. Ellen loved watching westerns on TV.

Ellen married Thomas Randolph Hart on November 27, 1959, in Hagerstown, MD and he preceded her in death on January 29, 2016.

She is survived by her son, Thomas “Tuck” Hart (Tammi) of Winchester, VA, granddaughter, Krystal Schiro (Dan) of Hedgesville, WV; as well as her canine companion, Kirby.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ellen is preceded in death by her brother, Stuart Allen “Sonny” Hulver, and sister, Agnes Louise Pierce.

A private committal service will be held for Ellen at a later date at Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester, Virginia.

Ms. Ellen was my aunt and i will miss her so much , i remember as a kid going to her house to help around the yard and bagging up soda cans . she will be missed dearly.. i love and miss u Aunt Ellen.. all the memories will stay with me forever until we meet again...
