Ellamae B. Stotler
Ellamae Virginia Belford Stotler, 72 of Winchester, Virginia, died Thursday, December 8, 2011 in a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Stotler was born in 1939, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Aldin Ervin and Icie Eula Pearl Belford. She worked as a secretary for H. W. Butler “Bill”, Jr. in an apple brokerage business for 14 years. She sold real estate for 16 years and 6 years respectively, then worked for 13.5 years as an Administrative Secretary to the Vice President of Nursing at Winchester Medical Center. She was diagnosed with “Parkinsons” at age 43, yet continued to work yet another ten years. She retired in 1992. Mrs. Stotler was a member of Kernstown United Methodist Church.
In August, 1957, she married Anthony Nethers and they were married for 19 years. Its union produced three wonderful children: Mark, Angel, and Jeff. She was remarried in May, 1980 to Maurice R. Trenary “T”, and gained a step-son, Thomas. “T” passed away December, 1987. In November, 1989, she married Russell Stotler and gained five step-children: Timmy, Greg, Sharon, and a set of twins – Sharon and Karen. Russell passed away on March 4, 2006.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Angela “Angel” Dawn McKee and companion Terry Lutz of Winchester; sons, Mark Anthony Nethers and his wife, Betty, of Bunker Hill, West Virginia, Jeffrey Scott Nethers and his wife, Stacey, of Winchester; grandchildren, Mark Anthony “Andy” Nethers of Inwood, West Virginia, Rachelle Dawn McKee of Charlotte, North Carolina, Chelsea Alexis Nethers, Chase Christian Fox Nethers and Rachel Boyd all of Winchester; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Belford Jones and husband, Donald, of Stephens City, Virginia, Betty Belford Hodson and husband, Conn, of Kalispell, Montana; five brothers, Robert Ervin Belford and wife, Karen, Willis Edward Belford and wife, Judy, all of Winchester, Ray Eldon Belford and wife, Mary, of Strasburg, Virginia, Gary Wayne Belford and wife, Doris, of Winchester and Golden Kerns and wife, Kitty, of Whitacre, Virginia.
One sister, Nancy Belford Lodge and her husband, John; one brother, Charles Belford preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Clay Knick officiating. Interment will be at Mount Hebron Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 12:30 – 2:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home.
