The family of Jim Loy left a message on September 5, 2015:
Ms. Palmer ( as my family has ever known her as ) was without a doubt the most beautiful, classy, Christian, country lady we have ever known. She has lived life on her terms, 103 years, independent, and maintained a relatively healthy life style, and oh yes, that great since of humor! She was a fixture in the Hayfield area. We all have had the greatest admiration of you through the years. Our most sincere condolences to the entire family of "Ms. Palmer".

Aunt Elizabeth, (my great aunt) what a lady, she was the full definition of AWESOME. I will miss our long phone conversations and our visits when I came home to Winchester. She had her ways and I loved them all. She will be so greatly missed in every way. Our last words to each other " I love you".

This is my Aunt Elizabeth. She worked very hard in her life. When I was growing up my Mom, Dad, brothers, sisters and I, would go over to her house and she always fixed a good meal for us. She was a very good cook and oh yes , her chocolate cake was delicious. I remember her canning 1000 fruits and vegetables every year. I will greatly miss talking to her on the phone. She was my last living Aunt.

You were the last member of my Father's family. I am going to miss you. I enjoyed our daily phone calls, and breakfast/dinner talks. I thank the Lord for blessing me with you. When I couldn't talk after my stroke, you brought me through it. With your encouragement, I found my voice again. Thank God for your support and understanding. Prayers for your peaceful rest in The Ever Loving Arms of The Lord. I love you, Aunt Elizabeth.

Ms. Elizabeth was so very special and I know her family and friends, including me, will really miss her beautiful smile, her sense of humor and the great hugs she gave. I am so very blessed to have had such a wonderful lady in my life. I'll especially remember how she liked to hold your hand when she was talking to you and how, when she was able, she would stand on her porch and wave goodbye because she said she wanted to make sure you got back out on the road safely. Thank you, Elizabeth, for your love and friendship.

Our last surviving aunt will be greatly missed by us. There were so many great memories of Aunt Elizabeth--through so many past years. She was a hardworking, caring woman. She was so interesting to talk to and never lost her memory of things far back in the past. Our prayers and thoughts go out to her family, Arthur and Betty Fout & family

Ms. Elizabeth was the greatest grandmother in the world to my daughters. She was loving, kind and generous. She had a grand sense of humor and I loved to listen to her stories of growing up. I can see her strong personality and work ethic in my girls. It is a beautiful heritage for them.
Donna Williams left a message on September 11, 2015:
Dear Sweet Ms. Lizzie. She has been our neighbor for as long as I can remember. My mom will miss talking to her on the phone every week, and I will miss looking to see if she is sitting on her porch sleeping. I always made her pumpkin bread over the holidays and she looked forward to that. Since I was a little girl, I can always remember her laugh, her sense of humor, and her zest for life. She has been there my entire life and I just can't imagine her being gone. She made Hayfield a happier place, and a much prettier place with the steeple she provided for the Mt. Olive church. Much sympathy to the family. We have lost a gem.
