Brookie was an amazing force! Little did I know that meeting her 20 years ago, we would go on to have an amazing friendship. When we bought our house from the Phillips in 1996, Amanda and I became instant friends with Brookie & Jack. Brookie was always encouraging, funny, offering her thoughts & opinions, she was usually spot on!! She & Jack were supportive of our family and loved our children. She was gentle but firm with the boys, encouraging them to swim, beginning when they were in pull-ups. She would always be on the lookout for things or ideas that would interest them. Brookie and I shared many of conversation regarding cooking, recipes, and parties! She & Amanda would walk the yard, she would point out all the plantings and landscaping ideas. We had quite a bond. She will be missed in our lives. May Light Shine Perpetual on you, as you have shined your light on so many. Rest in Peace

Brookie was such a great soul, a great personality. Our sons John-Henry and Nicholas-Ryan were blessed to have Brookie and Jack in their lives. The first part of the boys childhood summers were spent at the Phillip's pool. Brookie encouraged the boys to jump off the diving board and to swim across the deep end of the pool. Brookie always made time to help care for the boys. She was a powerful voice of reasoning on ways to parent. Our heartfelt condolences are with you Jack and your family.

Brookie and Jack were among the first people I met when arriving in Winchester. Over the years they were steadfast friends and always remembered me, my husband, and offered their friendship and help. Brookie's life was one of constant service to others, whether in church or community. Her spirit should inspire us all.
