Eileen S. Lewis, 74 of Winchester, VA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.
Eileen was born in 1950 in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Henry and Elsie Liss. She was a graduate of Pikesville High School, Class of 1968, and then went on to earn her associate’s degree. Eileen retired as a massage therapist for Dr. Loy and Capon Springs Resort. Eileen loved being outdoors and foraging for Morel Mushrooms. She loved to ski and adventure on walks and hikes. She was fond of spending time at the beach and watching the pelicans. Eileen enjoyed cooking and making different kinds of soups. She kept herself busy doing diamond dots, listening to music, and dancing. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She married Howard Lewis in 1985, and he preceded her in death in 1995.
Eileen is survived by her daughter, Linsey D. Ridgeway (Charlie), her son, Daniel C. Lewis, and grandchildren, Liam McDonald, Cole McDonald, Jillian McDonald, and Gavin McDonald. She is also survived by her dear friends of 60+ years, known as the “The Groovers,” her close friend Pam H., and many other friends she met on her journey.
