Ed Norris
Edward William “Ed” Norris, age 66, of Winchester, VA, died Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Winchester Medical Center. Mr. Norris was born in 1947 in North Carolina, the son of the late William Henry and Claire Marie Norris. He was a graduate of Cherry Hill High School, Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and he attended Villanova University. Mr. Norris was a veteran, having served in the U. S. Army. He served in Vietnam where he was awarded a Bronze Star. He was a Continuing Education instructor at Lord Fairfax Community College and was a Freelance writer for various publications. He retired from Lord Fairfax in March, 2013 after thirteen years of service. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, served the Knights of Columbus in the 4th degree, and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
He married Kay Lorain Wilson on November 1, 1969, in Arlington, VA. Surviving with his wife is a daughter Rachel Norris.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and will be followed at 2:00 PM by a Mass of Christian Burial led by Father Stanley J. Krempa. Military Honors by VFW post 2123 will follow. Interment will be private.
