Edward R. Clark
Edward Raymond Clark, 89, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, in a local nursing facility from natural causes.
Mr. Clark was born in 1922 in Brooklyn, New York the son of the late Edwin Timothy and Alma Hynes. He was a General Personnel Manager with C&P Telephone Company in Washington D.C., retiring in 1982. Mr. Clark was a graduate of Dartmouth College receiving degrees in Business and Engineering. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Army Air Corp achieving the rank of Sergeant. After retiring from the telephone company, he and Elizabeth retired to their farm in Green Springs, where they were active in the Winchester Farmer’s Market.
He married Elizabeth Ida Pemberton in 1955 in Washington D.C. She preceded him in death on December 5, 2004.
Surviving are four daughters, , Donna S. Seitzinger of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Joyce L., Devore of Markleeville, California, Elizabeth A. McGehee of Ukiah, California, and Eloise Hoke of Alexandria, Virginia; son, Edward P. Clark of Falls Church, Virginia; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 16, 2012 in Old Stone Church Cemetery in Green Springs, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 11240 Waples Mill Road, Suite 402, Fairfax, Virginia 22030.
Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, Winchester, Virginia.
