Edward Paul Campbell, Jr., 84 of Stephens City, VA, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, peacefully at his home.
Ed was born in 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Edward Paul Campbell, Sr. and Jenny (Trbovich) Campbell. He served our country in the United States Air Force. Ed worked for Ryland Homes and Horizon Contracting, where he retired as a home supervisor/contractor.
Ed loved hunting and fishing, building various models, carpentry, listening to music, cooking, and anything regarding WWII History. He enjoyed traveling to Bethany Beach in Delaware, slot car racing at Strasburg Hobbies and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Above all else, Ed loved spending time with his family and friends.
He married Carol Ann Donatelli on June 13, 1959, in Winchester, VA and she preceded him in death in 2018.
Ed is survived by his children, Todd Edward Campbell of Woodstock, VA ,Tonya Ann Campbell of Front Royal, VA, Tara Ann Wilson (Dannie) of Stephens City, VA,; daughter-in-law, Patricia Campbell of Stephens City, VA; grandchildren, Tony Campbell, Matt Campbell (Sarah) and Teresa Campbell Gentry (Matthew), Dannie Wilson and Morgan Wilson; great-grandchildren, Landon Campbell, Lillian Lieberman, Ryann Campbell and Lila Gentry; sister, Marilyn German; sister-in-law, Sharon Simmons, and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Along with his parents and wife, Ed is preceded in death by his son, Troy Joseph Campbell and sister, Marlene Flynn.
A visitation will be held for Ed on Monday, July 15, 2024, at 1pm with a service to be conducted at 2pm all held at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be private.
