Edward Paul Heinemann

Edward P. Heinemann, 89, of Frederick County, VA, died Friday, January 1, 2016 in Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Heinemann was born in 1926, in Buffalo, NY the son of the late Oscar and Hilda Hanewinckel Heinemann. He was a graduate of Colgate University receiving a BA degree in Math and retired from General Electric. Mr. Heinemann was a lifelong Lutheran.

Mr. Heinemann married Karleen Bjork on February 2, 1947 in Manlius, NY.

Surviving with his wife are his son, Charles Heinemann and his wife Marilyn of Stephens City, Virginia; two daughters, Karleen Escobar and her husband Carlos of Stephens City, Virginia and Beth Smith and her husband Walter of Wakefield, Massachusetts; sister, Dorothy Heinemann of Berryville, Virginia; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren as well as extended family members and close friends.

Mr. Heinemann was preceded in death by sister, Ruth Steffan and brother, Robert Heinemann.

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your father Karleen... May God grant you His peace and comfort. I enjoyed meeting you way back in D.C. In 2012 at the U.P. Honor Flight! My dad said meeting you and Janeen was the highlight of his trip! As you know he passed in 2014.. And it is still difficult, but God is Faithful! Blessings, linda
