Edward Lynn Blauch

Edward Lynn Blauch, “Eddie”, of Winchester, VA passed away on October 22, 2011 in the Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center.

He is survived by his long time partner, Barbara Megeath of Winchester; his mother, Autumn Richards of Cumberland, MD; his son, Derik Blauch of Martinsburg, WV; his daughter, Lauren Smith of Stephens City, VA; seven grandchildren; his sister, Cindy Ferreira and two brothers Randall Blauch and Steve Blauch all of Jacksonville, FL. He was preceded in death by his father, John Blauch.

Eddie was born on May 2, 1955 in Ft. Ashby, WV. He was a painter and home improvement contractor. He enjoyed golf and the outdoors. He was always ready with a kind word and a quick wit and he never met a stranger.

Eddie has given his body to West Virginia University for research so that others may benefit.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Local arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

OMG this just blew me away. Haven't seen Eddie in a long time but boy did we have a lot of laughs. You are so right. He was kind to everyone and fun to be around. I knew Eddie when he lived across from my brother. They use to be good friends and golfing buddies. When my brother had parties for whatever occassion. He would be there. He will be sadly missed. God keep you safe and please look out after mom who also loved having you around.
