Edward James Marshall, 91 of Stephens City, VA, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Heritage Hall in Front Royal.
Edward was born in 1935 in New London, CT, the son of the late Edward and Mary Marshall. He was a high school graduate who went on to proudly serve our country in the United States Army, especially, of his time at the White House. Edward retired from FEMA in 1988. Edward displayed his commitment to communal growth with his activities in the Presbyterian Church, the Boy Scouts of America, James Woods band boosters, and the Shriners Shepard. His hobbies included square dancing, golf, woodworking, photography and bowling.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Beth Marshall of Stephens City, son, Thomas Edward Marshall of Winchester, VA; grandchildren, Tyler Nathaniel McIntire, Jeremy Edward McIntire, Randall Lee Baker, Christopher Charles Baker (Jessica), Lindsey Hope Thornley (Jonathan), Noah Thomas Marshall and Amber Brooke Locke; great-grandchildren, Austin Noah Thornley, McKenna Rose Marshall and Hadleigh Jean Rose Thornley and sister, Betty Ann Proulx.
In addition to his parents, Edward is preceded in death by his wife, Georgiana Marshall who passed on January 4, 2008, and his brother, George Marshall.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 2pm to 4pm with a service to follow at 4pm all held at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will be private.
