Edward G. “Eddie” Adkins, 83, of Frederick County, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.

Mr. Adkins was born in 1939, in Tennessee, the son of the late Kathlean and John Guy Adkins. Eddie was a retired motorcycle racing mechanic. He was of the Southern Baptist Faith.

Eddie started racing at the age of 16, retiring at the age of 33 and started sponsoring other riders of the younger generation. He loved to play golf with his golfing buddies. Mr. Adkins was a Master Mason.

He married Bernice Virginia Ent in Laurel, MD, celebrating their 48^th year of marriage.

Surviving with his wife is daughter, Kelly Hollinshead of Florida; Randy James Adkins of Maryland; grandchildren, Steven Spence, Corey Adkins, Cody Palmer; brothers, Les Adkins and David Adkins both of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.

All services will be private.

A brother very loved by his siblings.

I have so many wonderful memories of Eddie and Bernice. We traveled together to motorcycle races all over the US. Lots of food and many laughs. Eddies life was with what he loved and that was building and racing motorcycles...

So sorry for the loss of our dear cousin. We have so many memories of family visits and motorcycles races. He will be missed by so many. Love and prayers for Bernice, Randy and Kelly.
