Andy "Drew" Roberts left a message on February 6, 2011:
Dear Family: I was deeply saddened to hear of Bunky's passing. I feel like I have lost a family member too! I have fond memories of Bunky growing up. My family and his were neighbors. Bunky and my mom loved music and would share the "latest sounds" with each other when one of them bought new music. Bunky was an inspiration to all of us, especially the youth who benefited from his important involvement in our early lives. He guided some of Winchester’s most talented young bands and musician’s, especially the Hi-lights of Soul. Little did we know that he would leave a lasting impression on us. I am forever indebted and grateful for his life, contribution, and legacy. Bunky was a natural leader and a drum major for the Lord. He devoted his life to Christ and inspired all us to examine our own lives and salvation. I will truly miss you Man! May you rest in peace.

Just found memory of a man back then when I was a young kid in " Highlights of Soul Band " Bunky was our big brother protector making sure Paul, Phil, myself Bugs and Lindsey would get into the car safe after when played anywhere along with Mr Dave and Mrs Mattie.
