Edward “Ed” Bolish, 95, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Bolish was born in 1921 in Leicering, Pennsylvania, the son of the late William and Mary Bolish. He graduated from Benjamin Franklin University in Washington, D.C. earning a Master’s Degree in Accounting and was an accountant for the United States Government. Mr. Bolish was a veteran of the United States Army having served in WWII. He was a member of Hilton Presbyterian Church in Newport News, Virginia.
His wife, Evelynn Falconer Bolish, preceded him in death in May 2000.
Surviving is his daughter, Nancy Strawsnyder (Ed) of Stephens City, Virginia; two grandchildren, Terry Ellen Harrison (Doug) and Lori Anne Moorhouse (Rusty); three great grandchildren, Ian and Chase Harrison and Will Moorhouse; brother Francis John Bolish of Florida.
Mr. Bolish was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five sisters, and eight brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Westminster Canterbury, 300 Westminster-Canterbury Drive, Winchester, Virginia.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2539 N. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, Virginia with Pastor Bob Bunn officiating.
