Edna S. Rosenberger
Edna Stella Rosenberger, 80, of Winchester, Virginia passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Rose Hill Health and Rehab, Berryville, Virginia.
Mrs. Rosenberger was born in 1936, the daughter of the late Arthur A. and Gladys F. Shanholtz. She was the owner and operator of Edwin M. Rosenberger Roofing in Winchester, retiring after 43 years of service. Edna was a member of the Calvary Church of the Brethren. She loved spending time with her family.
Edna married Edwin M. Rosenberger on March 2, 1957 in Hagerstown, Maryland. He preceded her in death in 1979.
Edna is survived by her daughters, Tina McFadden (Clarence Jr.) of Middletown, Virginia, Linda Baker (Larry) and Vicky Pitta, all of Winchester, Virginia; her son, Tony Rosenberger of Winchester, Virginia; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Catherine Dorman (Robert Sr.) of Pensacola, Florida and Carolyn Himelright of Winchester, Virginia; and brother, Freddie Shanholtz (Nancy) of Stephens City, Virginia.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers; one grandson.
Pallbearers will be Clarence McFadden, Jr., Larry Baker, Kyle McFadden, Derek Pitta, Robert Baker and Stephan Hunger.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 11th from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Omps, South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, Virginia.
A funeral service will be conducted on Friday at 1:00 PM at Omps, South Chapel with Reverend Susan MacDonald officiating. Interment will follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park.
