Edman C. Lemasters
Edman Columbus Lemasters, age 86, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Lemasters was born in Hastings, West Virginia in 1927, son of the late Francis M. and Alice H. Lemasters. He was an accountant at Alcan Aluminum retiring after 15 years of service. Edman was a veteran of the United States Army 2nd Armored Division during World War II achieving the rank of T5. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the American Legion New Philadelphia, Ohio Post.
His wife, Wanda Grace Lemasters, whom he married on February 14, 1948 in Jacksonburg, West Virginia, preceded him in death on December 10, 2011.
Mr. Lemasters is survived by his daughter Meredith Lynn McCaskey and husband, Wayne “Mac”, of New Martinsville, WV, and a son Mark D. Lemasters and wife, Laura B. Lofton, of Winchester, Virginia; four grandchildren, Alicia Hissom and Amy Petin, both of New Martinsville, WV, Rory Lemasters of Washington, D.C., and Keirsten Lemasters of Port Richie, Florida; three great grandchildren; sisters, Marion King of Keyser, WV, Isabelle Knisley and Mary Jo Koontz, both of New Martinsville, WV, and Carol Wilcox of Columbus, OH; and one brother, Merle Lemasters of Paden City, WV. A brother, Stanley Lemasters, preceded him in death.
