WALKER, EDISON LEE, JR. “Too Tall/Eddie” Age 46, of Winchester, VA, died peacefully Saturday, January 4, 2003 at his home.
Born on April 1, 1956 in Washington, DC, the son of Sandra Jean Manago Walker of Washington, DC and the late Edison Lee Walker, Sr. He was a police officer for Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority for 23 years. He attended Antioch Baptist CHurch and was a member of FOP-DC Lodge 1.
Surviving with his mother are six siblings, Iris E., Eric D., Michael L. and Mark T. Walker, Maxine W. Bland and Charmayne M.C. Macon; an adopted sister, Cheryl Jackson; a stepsister, a stepbrother, two sisters-in-law, Denise and Juray; two brothers-in-law, Tyrone and Barry; loving uncle, Butch Manago; loving aunt, Mercedes Edwards; six nephews, four nieces, a great niece, a great nephew and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends at OMPS FUNERAL HOME, Amherst, 1600 Amherst St., Winchester, VA on Friday, January 10 from 1 to 4 and on Saturday, January 11 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, 1105 50th St., Washington, DC with the Rev. William Gibbs, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, VA.
