Edgar P. Regan, Jr.

Edgar Paul “EP” Regan, Jr., 75, of Strasburg, VA, died Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Arlington Hospital.

Mr. Regan was born in 1935, in Washington D.C., the son of the late Edgar Paul Regan, Sr. and Sarah Addie Regan. He had worked as an engineer for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement. He was a graduate of George Washington University, having earned a Master’s Degree in Engineering and was also a member of the Air National Guard.

Mr. Regan married Rita Frances Bray in 1960 in Falls Church, VA.

Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Sharon Green and her husband, Richard of Centreville, VA and Deborah Sexton of Winchester; a grandson, David Sexton, of Winchester; two sisters, Janet Valentine of Alexandria, VA and Carol Mata of Gibsonville, NC; and three brothers, Frank Regan of Alexandria, VA, Larry Regan of Locust, NC and Gary Regan of Jamestown, NC.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at Mount Hebron Cemetery with Pastor Mark Carey officiating.

A reception for friends and family will follow at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army of Front Royal, P. O. Box 1428, Front Royal, VA 22630 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
