Earl E. “Joe” Strosnider
Earl Edward “Joe” Strosnider, 82, of Winchester, Virginia, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Strosnider was born in 1931, in Shenandoah County, Virginia, the son of the late Marvin W. and Louise Strosnider. He was a graduate of John Handley High School, Class of 1949. Mr. Strosnider was a Veteran having served in the United State Army from 1952-1954. He was a retired Chief Mechanic with General Electric retiring in 1990. Joe will forever be remembered for the lesson’s he taught in life and the friends he has made. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are three sons, Jeffrey Strosnider of Middletown, Virginia, Gregory Strosnider of Kernstown, Virginia, Anthony Strosnider and wife, Lisa, of Winchester, Virginia; five grandchildren; Ashley, Megan, Gregory, Joshua and Jarret and one great grandchild, Sophia. As well as many extended family and close friends.
His son, Terry Strosnider, step-mother, Loraine Hodgson Strosnider, and step-father, Marion Sutton preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Omps Funeral Home South Chapel with Pastor David Witt officiating. Inurnment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg, Virginia. Military honors will be afforded by V.F.W. Post 2123.
