            Dylan James Welzel, 23, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015.

 

            Dylan was born March 2, 1992, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Todd and Toni Welzel.  He was a 2010 graduate of James Wood High School. Dylan was a maintenance tech with Sheetz, Inc. Dylan had a one of a kind personality and was known for his smile that lit up a room. He enjoyed being outside whenever possible and loved to “fix things”.

 

            Surviving with his parents are his former wife Kourtni Welzel, children Alivia Grace and Mason Wyatt; his fiance Katie Cox, her son Preston and a child due in January; his sister, Samantha Rae Peacemaker-Welzel; half-brother, Chase Peacemaker; stepmother Tammy Cook, and her daughter Jamison Cook; stepfather, Scottie Vance; many loving grandparents including David and Penny Cather, Tony and Susanna Lockley, Anton and Patricia Welzel, Kenny and Shirley Turner, and his Special Great-Grandmother Betty Lockley.

 

            A Gathering of family and friends will be on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

 

            In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to United Bank, 4095 Valley Avenue, Winchester, VA  22602 in care of Alivia Grace.
