Drew William “Boot” Bageant, age 64, of Winchester, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at his home.

Drew was born in 1957, the son of the late Ralph William and Georgetta June (White) Bageant. He was a graduate of James Wood High School and worked as a roofer for Anderson Sheet Metal in Winchester prior to his retirement. Drew was a member of Cedar Creek Presbyterian Church. He loved to hunt, fish, metal detecting, shoot skeet at the local gun club, and all outdoor sporting activities. Drew was a loyal Chicago Bears fan. His hobbies included gun and old coin collecting. He never missed a good TV western or John Wayne movie.

Drew married Angela D. Costello on August 15, 1977 in Winchester, Virginia.

Drew is survived by his wife, Angela; his daughter, Dawn R. Hoover (Kevin) of Stephens City, Virginia; his grandchildren, Kelsey N. Johnson (Daniel Smith) of Gore, Virginia, and Lacey A. Tinsman (Tyler) of Fredericksburg, Virginia; a very special little buddy, Christina L. Dao (Snickerdoodles) of Stephens City, Virginia; his sister, Robyn Mann of Charlottesville, Virginia; and brother, Ralph Milton Bageant (Linda) of Winchester, Virginia.

A Visitation will be at 10am with a Celebration of Life & Family Gathering at 11am on Saturday, December 4, 2021, Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

Robin, Milt and Linda, So sorry to see that Drew passed away. Had not seen him in a long time. Hope everybody is doing well. Tell Drew's wife and daughter I am so sorry to see this happen. I think of June often and remember you all being so young then. Boy that isn't true anymore. I just turned 79 and it is hard to believe. Take care of yourself.
