Our deepest sympathy for all the Freimuth Family. We have wonderful memories with Mark. He was a special part of our family for many years. He excellence in everything he did always seemed to come easy for him. His smile & humor was infectious. My last chiropractic visit with Mark wasn't that long ago. I am shocked by his death. He was a good man and we got along very well; he actually laughed at my jokes. My most sincere condolences and sympathies.

It is with great sadness that I write this note. Dr. Mark treated my family as well as volunteered to help out the athletes on the Williamsport High School (MD) track team with any ailments they had. I had referred many, many people to him and they were all pleased and spoke of how wonderful he was. I am both shocked and saddened to hear about Mark's death. I have been his patient in Hagerstown since 2007. My heart aches for his wife. Mark was a great chiropractor and an even greater man. I have watched his children grow over the years as he updated there pictures in his office. We can never understand the death of someone so young and full of life but we can find comfort in knowing he lived every minute of his life to the fullest. He was a man of great character and compassion and he touched the lives of his family, friends, co-workers, and patients in a heart felt and touching manner that will last long after his passing. His laugh was infectious! I could write all night about Mark's ability to change people's lives and take away their pain. He truly cared about people. I know his wife and children are grieving the loss of their father and husband, but as you grieve please think about the extraordinary man Mark was and the amount of lives he impacted in a positive manner. I am so sorry for your loss!!!!

I'm absolutely stunned that such a great person is gone too soon at such a young age. Mark was absolutely positive and upbeat every time I went to see him in 2009 and after. I suffered a skull fracture from a freak accident at work and Mark most certainly helped ease my physical pain in my neck & shoulders. He also treated me for low back pain and I simply can't believe he is not here to help so many other people that need this kind of treatment. He was darn good at what he did. I'm truly sorry for your loss and will keep you all in my prayers. Mark was such an instrumental part of my recovery and I will always remember him. Way too young to leave this world and it really hurts when it's such a good, decent, honest, caring person. One that truly cares about their patients. They are truly hard to find. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Marks sudden passing. I will have difficulty finding another doctor as dedicated as he was in the future. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time.

I am deeply saddened by the death of Dr. Mark. I have been his patient for close to 10 years and he also treated several members of my family. I always found him to have a caring heart as he would also volunteer his time with the Williamsport Track team (MD) to help the athletes out with their many ailments. I know that the day will come when you and your children will be able to sit and read all the wonderful things that remind you of what a wonderful and amazing human being your husband is. Life has never been an easy road for you and your siblings as I think back about the past, but I have always admired the way you dealt with it with strength, grace and courage. I was shocked and saddened to learn of Dr. Mark's passing. I have been a patient of Mark's off and on for the past three years. Most recently, we could always be guaranteed a snow storm when I had an appointment scheduled. We would joke about this at each rescheduled appointment. As with some many patients, It was also a joy for me to see the family pictures displayed in his office. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

When I came to Hagerstown in 2009, I needed to find a chiropractor as I've needed fairly regular adjustments over the last 30 years. Dr. Mark was great with me. Being an Oklahoma alum, I'd always rib him about all his WVU mementos in his office. He'd give me a hard time right back. Such a nice and easy going guy. I will miss him. Many condolences to his family for their loss.

I have many great memories of being a team mate of Mark (Skinny) back to youth athletics through the Garden Spot Midget Athletic Association and as a class mate through our middle school and high school years. Until last Friday at the service I didn’t know anyone else except me still called Mark by his childhood nickname, “Skinny”, or “Skin” for short, let alone most of his friends. Since I was responsible for the nickname I thought it would be good to share how he earned the name. We grew up in New Holland, PA (Lancaster County), also referred to as Amish Country. I was in Junior High and Mark was about 10 years old. My track team went to “The Big City” of Lancaster for a track meet. My friend, Tom Craver, and I noticed that most of the kids on the other team had nicknames, especially their fastest kids. The nickname I still remember is some kid called “Bones” who was very thin, and all the names were very descriptive of the kids. We already knew my little brother was fast and he was also starting to compete in track meets through the Keystone State Games and the Junior Olympics. So being brilliant junior high kids, we knew that the kids from Lancaster were fast and they had nicknames; Mark was fast and didn’t have a nickname. We had to even the playing field and decided Mark needed a nickname. So after thinking about it for about 3 seconds we started calling him “Skinny” and the name stuck. I am still convinced it made him faster. And that’s how I remember he received his nickname more than 30 years ago.

We learned with sadness of Mark's death. We are friends of the Freimuth family via of our sons, but left New Holland to return to our native Valley of VA 18 years ago (HARRISONBURG). Our love and support for Karen, John, Paul and Dave. Gene and Jane Holsinger

My husband & I just learned of Mark's passing. We were so saddened to hear of this. Mark was my husband, Edgar's doctor for about 6 months. We really liked him and he was so proud of his family. He would talk to us about his wife and children all the time. He would tell us how much he liked the Philly Eagles play football. We talk about sports, his likes and ours too. I remember Mark as a humorous, fun loving, all around great guy. He was passionate about his athletics and excelled at everything that involved running! He always had a smile to share and a caring heart. I have many great memories with him in Sunday School at Trinity, Summit Valley, and Garden Spot, too. Dr. Freimuth was an absolutely wonderful chiropractor. As one of his many patients, we shared many stories and laughs about our dogs and their antics. Mark and I went to National University together for Chiropractic school. I have great memories of hanging out with Mark throughout our time there. He was always full of cheer and with a smile. He was a great role model of a father, sacrificing and succeeding in school. I always looked up to him for that. I am so sorry for your loss. I was a classmate of Mark's from chiropractic school and will always recall his enthusiasm, passion and dedication not only to his future profession but also his family. I was a classmate and teammate of Mark's at Garden Spot High School. Mark was bright light, a warm and wonderful person, and a delight to know through the years. Always with a smile and joyful personality, he was a great friend to so many of us, and had a great impact on everyone he met. Mark was a gifted individual, with a humble soul. I never thought I would like track and field. But being on the team with Skinny was fun. Especially when he anchored our 4x400 and 4x800 teams. We always had a chance to win. And even in defeat, he could make you smile. For all the time he spent hanging out in the training room, Im not surprise to see him as a chiropractor. Sending my deepest sympathy to Marks family.....he was a very good chiropractor....even if he did seek in a neck snap...which was my most undesireable moment of the treatment.....I appreciate all he did to help ease the pain I suffered from my injuries. I first met Mark when I attended one of his seminars on spinal decompression several years ago. I was nervous about changing chiropractors, but I am so glad I did. Mark was finally able to provide some relief from the back pain that I had been suffering with. My positive outcome led to my husband, my daughter and my son becoming a patient of his. He was very kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. My husband and I also got to meet his wife and kids at a nutrition seminar that they hosted - what a great family! Georgeann, There are only a few of us left at Meritus who worked with Mark, but all of us are thinking about you and your family now. In the past day, I have talked with Lisa, Cheryl, Angela and left a message for Rob. I remember most how full of life he was in the beginning of his new career. He convinced us he was the best thing since sliced bread and explained why we needed him on our staff. We came to agree. Over the years since that time, I have many times referred patients to his practice because of his genuine concern for his patients, because of grin that made patients comfortable but most of all because of his integrity. I often heard him say to patients that if he was unable to help them achieve some level of relief within a few visits, he would help them find someone who could. Because of that one statement, I gained a respect for chiropractic medicine and respected him more than he could know. All of us are sad and hope that you and your family are comforted by knowing how much we here still hold Mark in high esteem. Sid Gale

We lived a couple doors down from the Friemuths in Hagerstown for a short time while we were building our home and living in a town home. I enjoyed our friendship and spending time with Mark. He was a great friend and a great chiropractor who helped me get moving again when I almost couldn't walk. I am so sorry for your loss Georgeann.

I went to college with Mark at West Virginia University. Like many, I was lucky enough to be able to know him. I remember Mark as a fun loving guy and I do not remember ever seeing him in a bad mood. I am very sorry for your loss, he is certainly missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mark was a part of our family for a long time and I have some wonderful memories of him. One of my fav memories was one time my sisters and mark & I went to Philly to see a hockey game. On the way home we were singing Sting's Roxanne at the top of our lungs!! We laughed and laughed and I will never forget that memory. Another time, he and my sister came home from shopping and he bought in a bag of crickets that he was going to give to his lizards. He set the bag on the counter and my cat found them, took them to my room and left cricket parts all over my bed. He thought this was so hilarious! I will never forget his smile and his laugh!! God bless my friend.

So sad to learn of Dr. Mark's passing. He treated at least 4 other members of my family beside myself. He will be missed.

I CALLED HIM DR. MARK SINCE NOT ABLE TO PRONOUNCE HIS LAST NAME. HE WAS A WONDERFUL YOUNG MAN. HE MADE ME FEEL LIKE THE ONLY PATIENT HE WAS TREATING. MY HUSBAND AND I TALKED TO DR. MARK ON MY FREQUENT VISITS ABOUT HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN. HE WAS VERY PROUD OF HIS WIFE AND ALL THE THINGS SHE DID FOR HIM AND WITH ALL OF THEM. I WILL SURLY MISS HIM. MAY GOD KEEP HIS FAMILY IN CARE AND PROTECTION.

I am so sad to hear the news of Mark. I was a patient of his for over 3 years. Not only did I consider him a my doctor but also my friend. He genuinely cared about his patients. He left my oldest son Quinn Hoover shadow him one day and he truly carried his passion for his career unto my son. After shadowing Quinn decided to focus on becoming a therapist/chiropractor. Unfortunately, my Quinn died on March 18, 2012. I will never forget Mark driving up from Winchester to Meritus Medical Center to be there for Quinn. My heart aches for his wife and children, which of whom he always told me about. "But those who trust in the Lord for help...will rise on wings like eagles." Isaiah 40:31.
