I love you Dad! I miss you! There are so many things about you, that are not in the obituary. It was the everyday things, that meant so much to me. You encouraged me when I didn’t have any confidence in myself. You believed in me. You taught me to love life and not to be afraid of it. You loved Mom and your family so much and made so many sacrifices for us. You would wave to us, each time that we would leave your house. The simple act of waving goodbye was so important. I love you Dad. Thank you for your love!

John Simpson left a message on October 21, 2019:
While Dr. Simpson accomplished much in his life through the scientific research he performed, through the teaching he did, and through the charitable work he performed, to me he was Dad. He guided me and supported me throughout my life. In good times and in bad times, he was always in my corner with my best interests in mind. Dad - the sorrow I feel because I will never see you again is tempered by the joy that I feel for having known you for 56 years and by the immense pride I feel for having someone such as you as my father. Rest in peace. Love John
