Douglas “Doug” G. Utter

Douglas “Doug” George Utter, 54, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Sunday, January 1, 2012, in Winchester Medical Center.

Doug was born in South Amboy, New Jersey in 1957, the son of the late Arthur and Ruth Utter. He was a Security Officer with Haines Security and LP (loss prevention) Specialist at Lowes in Woodstock. Doug was an avid fisherman, golfer and loved to travel.

Surviving with his wife, Debra Lee Hellmund, is his sister, Alicia Utter of Kissimmee, Florida; four brothers, Arthur Utter of Sayreville, New Jersey, Keith Utter of South Amboy, New Jersey, Joseph Utter of Parlin, New Jersey and Edward Utter of Lawrence Harbor, New Jersey.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be private. A Reception will follow the service at Omps Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral home, Amherst Chapel.
