Dorothy May (Wilt) Lineberg, 88 years old of Winchester, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 4th, 2026, at Winchester Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was born on December 17th, 1937, to parents Otis R. Stottlemyer, Sr. and Nellie McKee Stottlemyer. Dorothy was the oldest of 4 children.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Cripe) Gloyd (Charles) of Gore, VA; two grandsons, Robert Cripe (Danielle) of Strasburg, VA and Jonathan Cripe (Bobbie Jo) of Stephens City, VA; five great grandsons, Landon Cripe, Wyatt Cripe, Cooper Cripe, Brett Baker, and Austin Baker; nephews and nieces, Pam Felix Wilson (Rich), Keith Helmick (Vicki), Ritchie Helmick of PA, Glenn Stottlemyer of PA, Carl Stottlemyer (Jennifer) of Warrenton, VA, Chad Stottlemyer (Alyssa) of PA and their children; sister-in-law, Linda Stottlemyer of PA; cousins, Peggy Pridham (Don) and Judy Bowen-Hansen and Richard DeHaven (Kay).
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Nellie Stottlemyer; brother, Otis R. Stottlemyer, Jr; sister, Stella Lynn Helmick; and brother, Norman Stottlemyer; former husbands, Robert W. Wilt and Edwin Lineberg; son-in-law, Charles Edward Cripe; and stepmother, Helen Stottlemyer.
Dorothy attended John Handley High School and then was a waitress for Carl (Bud) Lewis at his food businesses, The Snack Bar, National Fruit Kitchen, and Farmers Livestock Exchange Kitchen. Dorothy then worked as a nursing assistant at Winchester Medical Center for 27 years until retirement in 1997.
Dorothy was a member of Winchester Church of God. She loved the Lord and enjoyed being picked up by the Van Ministry to attend Sunday Service with her church family. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandsons and great grandsons.
The family wishes to thank the medical staff at Winchester Medical, Warren Memorial, Wheels 4 Wellness transportation and Round Hill Fire Company.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Wednesday (Feb 18) from 6-8pm at the Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester. A Funeral Service will be held
Thursday (Feb 19) at 11:00am at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Kent Woodward officiating. Interment will follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park.
The pallbearers will be Jonathan Cripe, Robert Cripe, Landon Cripe, Austin Baker, Wyatt Cripe and Charles Gloyd.
