Dorothy Lockhart Ainsworth

Mrs. Dorothy Lockhart Ainsworth, age 88, of Winchester, Virginia, died Saturday, December 22, 2012.

Mrs. Ainsworth was born in 1924, in Capon Bridge, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Dora Lockhart. She was employed as a registered nurse at Winchester Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1985 after 38 years of service. She was a member of First Christian Church.

She married Dallas Francis Ainsworth on July 28, 1951, in Winchester, Virginia. Mr. Ainsworth died February 3, 2012.

Surviving are two sons: Mark Ainsworth and wife, Ann, and Steve Ainsworth and wife, Terry, both of Stephens City, Virginia; four grandchildren, Steven and Kevin Ainsworth of Stephens City, Sarah Adams and husband, Scott, of Madison, Alabama, and Thomas Ainsworth of Stephens City, Virginia.

A sister, Louise Largent, preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Omps, South Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 28, 2012, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor Rob Lovett officiating. A private entombment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum.
