Dorothy L. Scott

Dorothy Light Scott, age 97, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, formerly of Winchester, died Saturday, January 30, 2010, at Sunnyside Retirement Community.

Mrs. Scott was born in 1912, in Frederick County, Virginia, the daughter of the late Harry and Edna H. Light. She was a graduate of John Handley High School. She was a homemaker and member of the Clear Brook Presbyterian Church, Clear Brook, Virginia.

She married Horace Marcos Scott who preceded her in death on March 27, 1957.

Surviving are her daughter, Dorothy Scott Jenkins and husband Ray, of Grafton, West Virginia and a sister, Ann Arnold of Winchester, Virginia.

Two sisters, Julia Slayden and Emily Kuykendall, and a brother, Huyett Light, preceded her in death.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, at Mount Hebron Cemetery with Dr. Richard Slider officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery.
