Gary Heckelman left a message on April 16, 2024:
Condolences, Love and Prayers for my Favorite Aunt's Virginia family. She was preceded in death by her brother Wendell (Jim) Heckelman of Akron. She was a frequent visitor to her Akron family. Even after Sewel and Dad passed, she made trips to visit with her late brothers wife Sally and family. She was intelligent, brave and a kind and loving soul. I will forever cherish the memories I have of her.

Ann was a dear friend. We attended church and volunteered at the Winchester Medical Center together. She always had a smile on her face and kind words for everyone.
Clare and Patricia Mullett left a message on April 10, 2024:
Sadly, we went to the Amherst Omps today and found we were in the wrong place. We're sorry we missed a chance to talk with Ann's family about our dear friend and neighbor (Geronimo Trail in Shawneeland). We loved sharing stories and photos of our "creature" neighbors with Ann through the years. Ann phoned us whenever a bear, raccoon, fawn, doe, or buck appeared on our block so that we could share the excitement. We even remember the time Ann discovered a nest of rattlesnakes at the base of her back steps! Ann was the first neighbor to greet us when we retired to Shawneeland in 1999. We will miss our dear friend and are sorry to the family for their loss.
