Dorothy A. “Dot/Dottie” Krob, 82, of Chester Gap, Virginia, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
Dorothy was born August 26, 1942, in Pennsylvania, daughter of the late William Allen and Myrtie Irene Morgan Lee. She was proceeded in death by one sister Sandra Kay “Sandy” Johnson and her husband William “Bill” Johnson.
Dorothy was a talented artist, making ceramics or paintings on wood, glass bottles, etc. not only to give to her family but to sell in local shops throughout the area. She also taught painting classes at the Warren County Parks and Rec. Center in Front Royal, Virginia.
She loved her family and spending time with them all. She looked forward to the Family Thanksgiving inviting her entire family and many friends every year and the traditional Lee and Morgan family reunion.

Surviving is her husband, John Krob of Chester Gap, VA, son, Joseph “J.D.” Krob and wife Mary Beth, grandson, Jonathan Krob, granddaughter, Maranda Krob of Stafford, VA, daughter, Leslie Krob Williams and husband, Christopher Williams, grandson, Andrew Williams and granddaughter, Heather Williams of Chester Gap, VA, one brother, Floyd A. Lee Sr. (Geraldine) of Front Royal, VA, one sister, Mary Alice Beckner of Martinsburg, WV and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Dorothy on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 2pm at Front Royal Moose Lodge, 1340 John Marshall Highway, Front Royal, VA 22630.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dorothy to Warren County Recreation Center Art Program at https://secure.rec1.com/VA/warren-county-va/catalog. Select Donations and Sponsorships and select In Memory of Dorothy Krob.

Hey Dot save me a place up there, I'm so sorry 8 never made it up to see u, u were my one and only ride or die friend, we had many happy memories, some sober, some not, but you were a tough lady, and I love u to the moon and back, ur kids had the best momma, and I will miss u in our world, until we meet again, love you forever Clara

I am sadden at the loss of my Friend Dottie. We Spent many days and hours painting, talking, shopping and just sharing many “adventures” which is what we called the long rides exploring wherever the road would take us , like Albuquerque New Mexico and many points between and beyond. I will miss all those late night chats and text my friend . I will miss you . Go Rest High On That Mountain my Friend.

Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.

To John and the rest of the family Katie and I are so sorry for your loss. Dot was an amazing woman and will be greatly missed. Always enjoyed what little time we had to share at the family reunions. But we sure did enjoy them. If there is anything we can do for ya'll just say the word. At least she is at peace and home with the Lord any no more sickness or pain. Until we all meet again. We love ya Dot.

Dot will always be in our hearts. Dot John, Mart and I spent a lot of good time's together. Dot was a wonderful artist. She took pride in what she painted. She willl always have a special place in me. RIP my dear cousin. Love you.

I was so sorry to hear this news. I will always treasure the Panther Blue and Gold "knit shorts" Dot made for me and will always keep and display the incredible portrait she did of my beloved boat, At Last. She will be sorely missed. My best to the family and especially John <3

Sending sympathy to the family for your loss. Dot would always wave when she drove by our house when we would be settling on our deck. Nice lady.

May Dot’s soul rest in power. And may her children and grandchildren live many more years of healthy life than her. My condolences to Dorothy’s husband, her children and grandchildren, and relatives. Wish you all patience and strength in your grief which I share with you all.
