Doris McKeown Hamman

Doris McKeown Hamman,87, formerly of Luray, Virginia and Mt. Rainier, Maryland, died January 4, 2012, in Winchester, Virginia.

Mrs. Hamman, was born in 1924, in Mt. Rainier, Maryland, the daughter of the late Earl and Ida McKeown. She was an administrative assistant with the Department of Defense, retiring in 1978 after more than 25 years of service. She was a member of the Mt. Rainier Christian Church, Mt. Rainier, Maryland. She was a graduate of Mt. Rainier High School.

Her husband, George Hamman, preceded her in death in 1998.

Surviving are two sons, Dan Breece, of Boyce, Virginia and Fred Rodriguez, of Bluffton, South, Carolina; fifteen grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren; two sisters Norma Woodall and Clara B. Moore, both of Maryland.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Robert O. Breece and Thomas A. Breece and a sister Allison Dalzell Link.

A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Reverend Gary Koontz officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Luray, Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:00-10:00 am at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street, Winchester, Virginia, 22601.
