Doris E. Magdich
Doris Edna Magdich, age 89, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at her residence.

Doris was born in 1928 in Newark, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Burl and Alice Anderson. She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to so many. She was a member of Greenway Fellowship in Stephens City, Virginia, where she volunteered in various areas of ministry. Doris also enjoyed Bible study, reading, and gardening.

Doris married Joseph Magdich, Jr. in Newark, New Jersey, in 1948. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are her daughters, Susan A. Holland (Larry) of Taylorsville, North Carolina, Lauren B. Lohr (Michael) of Evanston, Illinois, Patricia J. Prime (Kenneth) of Gainesville, Virginia, and Nancy L. Bruno (John) of Amelia Island, Florida; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Anderson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 12:00 til 1:00 PM at Omps, South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, VA 22602.

The Celebration of Life service will be immediately following the visitation at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Vineyard officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Doris’s memory may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street Suite 405, Winchester, VA 22601 or Greenway Spirit and Word Fellowship, P.O. Box 218, Stephens City, VA 22655.

We also have known Doris from Culver lake. She was such an inspirational, beautiful, God- loving woman. She was another grandmother to the kids, and a genuine friend to everyone. From prayer group at chapel, to pizza and swimming at her house, Doris will be dearly missed by our family and the entire Culver lake community!
