Doris Ann Ermerins, 84 of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.
Doris was born in 1941 in Alexandria, VA, the daughter of the late George and Louise Miller. She was a high school graduate and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Winchester. Doris enjoyed, sewing wedding dresses and square-dancing outfits, pottery, square dancing, gardening, painting, camping and decorating cakes, she was known for her wedding and birthday cakes. She was also a Mt. Vernon Hospital volunteer.
Doris is survived by her husband, James Warren Ermerins whom she married on March 11, 1967; daughters, Anna Elrod (Jason) of Stephenson, VA, Laura Minoso (Paul) of Burke, VA; sons, Dennis Wayne Ermerins of Burke, VA, James Scott Ermerins (Deborah) of Winchester, VA; grandchildren, Dustin Ermerins, Casey James Puckett, Christina Ann Minoso, Cory Joe Minoso, Emilio Ricardo Minoso, Sarah Ann Ermerins Teeters, William Thomas Ermerins, Elizabeth “Libby” Claire Ermerins, Aidan Ruaridh Elrod and Quinlan Marie Elrod; great-grandchildren, Randy Puckett, Jackson Simms, Issac Scott Teeters and Ezra James Teeters (yet to be born); sister, Joan Walthall of Annapolis, MD and brother, Larry Miller of Stafford, VA.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her son, Richard Ermerins, brother, George Miller, Jr and sister-in-law, Judy Miller.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 11am at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Steven Rebert, Sr. officiating.
