Donna Sue Alexander, 58, of Winchester, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2025, surrounded by her family at VCU Medical Center in Richmond.
Born in Winchester on April 25, 1967, Donna was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1985. She dedicated her life to her passion as a hairdresser, bringing joy and confidence to everyone who sat in her chair. Her warm heart, creativity, and love for people shined through everything she did. Donna also had a special love for animals, especially her dogs, who brought her so much comfort and happiness. Donna cherished time with her family above all else.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Joseph Edward Alexander, with whom she shared many meaningful years and memories. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her daughters, Whitney Alexander and Amber Ginevan; her son, Derek Ginevan; and her beloved granddaughter, Leighton Alexander, who was the light of her life. She is also remebered with love by her dear friend, David Ginevan. She is further survived by her dear aunt Gladys Manuel; her sisters Dawn Clark and Kathy Jenkins; her brother Greg Jenkins; her father Roger Jenkins; and her sister-in-law Amanda Alder.
Donna is preceded in death by her grandmother, Maxie Miller Dodson Jenkins.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m., all at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. A reception will follow the funeral service at the same location. Interment will be private.
