Donna C. (Pierce) Burke Parks, RN 74, retired Winchester Medical Center, passed away December 7, 2009, quietly in her Winchester, VA, home surrounded by her family.

Born June 14, 1935, Donna Christine Pierce, in Dearborn, Michigan to the late Harry R. and Christina M. Pierce.

Predeceased by her first husband of 29 years, James E. Burke, her second husband of 16 years, William Parks.

She was SISTER to Harry (Kathryn) Pierce of Livonia, MI, Richard (Kay) Pierce of Tuscaloosa, AL and Delores (Larry) Staub of Sun City West, AZ.

She was MOM to Christy Burke, of Winchester, VA, Ann (Dave) Sigvaldsen, of Dale City, VA, Elizabeth Burke of Dumfries, VA, Patricia Burke of Asheville, NC, Kathy Burke of Charlotte, NC and James E. Burke II of Manassas, VA.

She was GRANDMA to Tamara, Lacey, Ryan, Kyle, Devin, David, Jennifer, Jessica, Stephanie, Erin, Deanna, Nicole, and Leann.

She was DOUBLE G to Stephen, Jonathan, Michael, Nathaniel, Jamee, Christian, Savanna, Autumn, Oceana, Timmy, Tony, Penelope, Desiree, and Devin.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, with Father Stanley J. Krempa officiating. Interment will be Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Michigan.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
