I first got to know Miss Donna at a UMW retreat over 20 years ago. We were roommates and enjoyed learning about each other. My family sat behind Miss Donna at church for many years and each Sunday, we would hug and exchange our news of the week. I would often help Miss Donna into the Sanctuary and help her get settled and ready for the service. I would tell her I loved her, and she would say the same to me. While I know she is finally at rest and reunited with loved ones who have passed before, I will miss her sweet smile and her beautiful face. She was truly an angel on Earth and I was blessed to know her.
