Donald L. Bayliss
Donald “Don” Lee Bayliss, 72, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Bayliss was born in 1937, in Frederick County, Virginia, the son of the late Carl M. and Vergie G. Bayliss. He was a Real Estate Developer and founder of Donald L. Bayliss & Associates, founder of Lake Holiday Estates, as well as other business ventures. Mr. Bayliss attended Hayfield Assembly of God in Hayfield, Virginia. He was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1955. Mr. Bayliss was a Veteran, having served in the United States Air Force.
Surviving are two daughters, LeeAnn Rorls and Stephanie Giles both of Frederick, Maryland; four grandchildren, Kylie, Sydney, Noah and Ryan; three sisters, Ruth Deloress Rinker and husband, Harry B., Jr., Mary L. Mallow and husband, Russell H. Sr., Shirley M. Plummer and husband, Samuel E., Sr.; four brothers, Carl E. Bayliss and wife, Sarah, Robert M. Bayliss and wife, Peggy J., James “Jim” Bayliss and wife, Barbara and Charles V, Bayliss, Sr., all of Winchester, Virginia. He is also survived by many additional nieces and nephews. One brother, Phillip V. Bayliss preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Reverend Ken Smith officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olive Cemetery, Frederick County, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
