Mr. Donald Lawrence Perrault, age 87, of Winchester, VA, died Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Winchester Medical Center.  Mr. Perrault was born in 1926 in Westville, NY, the son of the late Harry Franklin and Hazel Belle Perrault. Mr. Perrault taught public school from 1946 until 1974. He served as Director of Finance at Frederick County Public Schools for the next ten years.  And  from 1984 until 1991, he served as part-time Director of Finance, retiring in 1991. He was a graduate of Shepherd College and a member of Greenwood United Methodist Church.  He was also a member of Virginia Retired Teachers and Frederick County Retired Teachers.

 

His wife, Lois Sealey Perrault, whom he married August 6, 2000, preceded him in death on September 21, 2010. His first wife was Marjorie Shirley Perrault, whom he married June 18, 1955 in Inwood, West Virginia. She preceded him in death on April 13, 1997.

 

Surviving is a son, Timothy L. Perrault and wife, Anne of Winchester, VA; step-daughter Jean Tucker of Winchester, VA; daughter-in-law, Laurie Perrault of Stephens City, Virginia; grandchildren Ian , Erich, Lindsey, and Ben Perrault; step—grandchildren, Ashley  Bush and Noah Tucker; step great granddaughter Grace Vickers, and a great granddaughter Kaitlyn Perrault. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth L. Perrault, sisters Bernice Perrault and Irene Rhodes, and a brother, Lester L. Perault.

 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday, October 28, 2013 at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.  A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at  Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Reverend Jerome “Jerry” Weigel and Ed Lambert officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Gerrardstown, WV.

 

Contributions to honor the memory of Mr. Perrault may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601 or to Greenwood United Methodist Church, 726 Greenwood Rd., Winchester, VA 22602.
