Donald Lee Puffinberger, Sr., 54, of Gore, Virginia passed away Friday, January 4, 2019, at Winchester Medical Center.
Donald was born in 1964 in Prince George’s County, Maryland, the son of Delores and Eugene Puffinberger, Sr. He was a heavy equipment operator at Carmeuse Quarry. Donald loved bluegrass music, playing cards (especially poker), billiards, playing sports and the guitar. He enjoyed swimming, fishing, throwing horseshoes, and the outdoors along with hunting. Donald was an avid Redskins fan and Bobby Labonte fan. His greatest passion was his family and friends…he would do anything for anyone.
Donald married Donna Jewell on June 9, 1984.
Surviving with his wife is a daughter, Anna Elizabeth Yancey of Winchester, Virginia; sons, Donald Lee Puffinberger, Jr. (Ashley) of Winchester, Virginia and Timothy Allen Puffinberger of Gore, Virginia; grandchildren, Taylor, Kolby, and Faith Yancey of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia and Elliannah and Ally Puffinberger of Winchester, Virginia; sisters, Deborah Ann Wallace (David) of Winchester, Virginia and Janet Lynn Mason (Billy) of Stephens City, Virginia; brothers, Eugene “Hank” Cleveland Puffinberger, Jr. of Ranson, West Virginia and Carlton Wayne Puffinberger, Sr. of Winchester, Virginia.
Donald was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Allen Puffinberger.
A visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
