Donald John Glowaz, 78 of Lake Frederick, VA passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, peacefully at home.

Don was born in 1944 in Dearborn, MI, the son of the late John Joseph Glowaz and Lucy Jane Edwards. He received his Master’s Degree from Wayne State University and worked as Fleet Advisor for General Motors. Don loved sports, baseball, paddleball, tennis, and pickleball.  He ran a club called Hoppy’s Pals, they would get together to watch old cowboy movies.  He especially loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports.

He married Cheryl Lynn Coggins on June 27, 1964 in Pontiac, MI.

Don is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughters, Stacie Wild (Ken) of Thousand Oaks, CA, Amy Haines (Darrell) of Boyds, MD and Kara Glowaz of Germantown, MD; grandchildren, Kacie, Michael, Audra, Wesley, Amber, and Cordelia.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Garrett.

Services for Don will be held at a later date.
