Donald Edward Fishel, 73 of Stephenson, VA, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.

Donnie was born in 1951 in Winchester, VA, the son of the late Charles and Ethel Fishel. He served our country in the United States Army. Donnie retired after 50 years working as a Diesel Mechanic. He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. He enjoyed mowing grass, plowing snow and working on cars. Donnie was a fan of the Redskins and Dale Earnhart, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Kaitlin Marie whom he married on July 20, 2018; previous wife, Jackie Fishel; daughter, Heather Shobe (Tony) of Stephens City, VA; step-daughter, Angela Mason of Front Royal, VA; step-sons, Bryan Mason (Dee) of Kentucky and Michael Mason of Indiana; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Salvador (Terry) of Berryville, VA, Nancy Fishel Pangle (Donnie) of Winchester, VA, Connie Fishel of Berryville, VA and brothers, Kenneth L. Fishel (Marlene) of Montana and Jerry Fishel, Sr. (Marie) of Inwood, WV.

Along with his parents, Donnie is preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Caroline Keen and stepson, Larry Mason, Jr.

A visitation will be held for Donnie on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 10am with a service to be conducted at 11am all held at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
