My prayers for the Browder family with your loss of such a wonderful, friendly, warm hearted gentleman. As a Stewardess/Flight Attendant and Supervisor, working with Don was always a pleasure, he was calm, funny, always had a smile, never got flustered and always worked well with us. It has been great seeing him at the Dulles Loungers luncheons the past couple of years.
Rest in Peace my friend.......Sincerely, Sandra Eggleston IADSW

I met Don in 1984 when we both began working at UAL in Lexington, KY. For the two years that I was there, I enjoyed his many stories in particular about the Schaumburg, IL that he loved. Don also loved UAL and spent his life serving customers and trying to make things better. He was full of life and humor and words... oh yes, words. Don loved to talk... "Don, can you stop talking to that customer please so we can push this plane out and be on time!!!" Rest in peace, old man!!... Jeannie Murray McCloskey

In friendship and deepest sympathy to the Browder family. I met Don when I came to IAD as a United 767F/O in 1993. It was a great pleasure working with him for many years. He was greatly missed when he retired. May you find comfort in your memories and peace in your hearts with love that never departs. "For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be. Matthew 6:21" God bless you and keep you.

Don Browder was a great person. We had so many funny times at IAD. HE WAS ONE OF THE GOOD OLD BOYS. They played tricks on co-workers and management. They were priceless. He referred to himself as a widebody or UFO (which stood for ugly, fat and old) but he was neither. His heart was as big as Texas. The funniest story I have didn't happen at work. It happened at my house back in Oct 1991. It was 3 weeks after my father had passed away and my mom was with me. We had gone to watch my son play football at Clark Co stadium. A good old nor easter came up. temps dropped and wind was whipping. My mom and myself were up at the top of bleachers. The wind blew her out of the stadium..she was not a little person. Well Browder and Margarite came to my house on Sunday. Just dropped by..Well I explained what happened. My mom had black eyes ,broke nose, and crooked finger. So when he went back to work he told everyone that I beat my mom up and that she was all black and blue. He never let her forget. When ever she came to visit he would tell her "don't you go up in the bleachers" and she told him not to worry. We have had good visits with him and Margarite over the years from CICIs pizza, Golden coral, Applebees and our home. We will miss him. The new kids at United have no idea what it was like to work as a family. We may never have seen one another away from work but we cared for each other. We were family and still are. Ken, Kristy and I have lost a very good friend. To his family he loved you and was so proud of you. May God be with you at this time.
Donnie you wiull always hold a candle to my heart. You have made me smile and laugh through the years for some many occassions. I will truely miss you. <3
