Dennis “Denny” Lee Shackleford, 57, of Bunker Hill, WV, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Thursday, September 15, 2016, at Winchester Medical Center.
Denny was born in 1959 in Winchester, VA, the son of the late W. Lee Shackleford and the late Norma J. Wingfield. He graduated from Emmanuel Christian Academy and attended Bob Jones University. Denny was employed at Noland Plumbing Supply in Winchester, VA. He was a member of Winchester Church of God. Denny enjoyed traveling, listening to music and attending concerts. Above all he enjoyed being with his family.
Denny married Angela Y. Scott on October 19, 1985, in Stephens City, VA.
Surviving with his wife is a daughter, Waverleigh S. Lawless and husband, Calvin, of Madison Heights, VA; sisters, Sharon S. Trenary and husband, Rick, of Stephens City, VA, and Mickie S. Beatty and husband, Dennis, of Stephens City, VA.
Mr. Shackleford was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Karen S. McKown.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 24th from 2-3 p.m. at Winchester Church of God, 2080 N. Frederick Pike, Winchester, Virginia. The service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Kent Woodward officiating at the church. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions in memory of Denny may be made to Winchester Church of God Care Ministry, 2080 N. Frederick Pike, Winchester, Virginia 22603.
