Dennis Joseph Jutze, Sr., 70, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Jutze was born in 1948 in Bayside, New York, the son of the late Alfred and Filomena Jutze. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam era, achieving the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Jutze was a police officer in Nassau County, New York, retiring after 27 years of service. The last position he held with the NCPD was Director of the New Hyde Park Police Athletic League an independent, non-profit youth development agency.

He enjoyed fishing, and cruising for chicks. He was great at parties and loved to cop a groove. He had a great sense of humor, but always made people feel comfortable. He was a loving father who was extremely compassionate and caring. Growing up he was known as a great athlete and shared his love for sports with his children.

Mr. Jutze was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving are daughters, Rebecca Jutze of Arlington, Virginia and Sarah Jutze of Winchester, Virginia; son, Dennis Jutze, Jr. of Winchester, Virginia; and sister, Judy Jutze of San Jose, California.
