John Sempeles left a message on October 5, 2023:
I will always remember Uncle Demo as the family comedian-- at our many family gatherings when I was younger, he was always the funniest one in the room, cracking wise and teasing everyone good naturedly. I know he is probably needling my dad in heaven now, as they continue holding family card games with rest of his brothers and sisters who have since passed. My love and condolences to Thea Sophie and my cousins John, Lillian, and Maria and their families. Memory Eternal.

I will sure miss Demo's wit, sarcasm, and his big grin! From the Community Food store to Crystal Candies and filling in at Jimmy's, we had many conversations. Demo and that great Sempeles family have provided so much to Winchester! God bless. Sincerely, Rick Kern
