I am so sorry to read of Delmar's death. I used to talk with him often and visited his office several times each year, whenever he needed aerial photographs for his real estate business. Delmar was a gentleman from 'the old school' and will be greatly missed.

Delmar and I go way back to "Pugh town", now known as Gainesboro, Virginia. We first met out in front of his father's store, He was about 2 years old ! I can remember him running around bare foot in the gravels. We have been the best of friends through all the years. We talked daily on the phone, I will really miss "punk" and our conversations. On our last visit together, he was enjoying some chocolate ice cream, And I left him with a box of Russell Stover chocolates, and "i'll see you later Punk!" There will always be a special place in my heart, that will forever hold our memories together. Loved and missed. Your Friend, J. P. Darlington

Delmar was well loved by all who crossed his path. I'm sure he is walking peacefully with Jesus, where there is no more pain, suffering, or tears. Just rejoicing and smiles! Love, Jammy C. Triplett

Delmar was one of the finest gentlemen I have ever known. Always willing to lend assistance in whatever way he could, and never asking anything in return. He was a true friend in every sense of the word and will be sorely missed. Love, Lester "Chuck" Carroll

Sorry to hear about the passing of Delmar. I was never really close to him but met him when i was only 16 and have always revisited the words he said to me at that age. I remember it like yesterday. We were sitting in the Terrace Club with his wife Maria, and her brother Bill. He said to make things work you have to stay with it and it will come together someday as it was with him and his efforts. That was many years ago and was the best advise that i followed. I am sure he will be missed by many.. May God bless the rest of family. Lee E. Willey Jr. (BOY)

Delmar was the first guy I ever met when I moved to Winchester and was a life-long friend. I enjoyed weekly visits to his office with my dog that he loved. Any question that I ever had would be answered in a second. I will truly miss our friendship. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Jack Ball
